德胜关Desheng Pass
德胜关位于莲花峰北面钟南山北侧，海门是明清时期东南沿海海防重镇，为加强海防，朝廷在此操练水师，训练兵马，设立东校场，大演武技，跑马骑射，取胜者进此关，故名“德胜关”。
Desheng Pass Desheng Pass is located in the north of Lotus Peak to the north of Zhongnan Mountain in the harbor of Haimen city, which was a coastal town at southeastern coast of China during Ming and Qing Dynasty. To strengthen the coast defense, imperial navy, troops and cavalry were trained here in the East Fighting Field, which was established for holding contests in fighting, riding and shooting. The winners who won the competition were able to enter the Pass. That is the season why it is named “Desheng Pass”(“Desheng” means “triumph” ). |
