望帝处Spot of Expecting the Emperor
公元1278年11月，文天祥勤王抗元莅潮，为追寻幼主宋帝昺，至此处望帝舟，遥望碧海南天，表示誓死抗战的英雄气概。民间有“精忠踏碎石莲花”的传说
Spot of Expecting the Emperor
In November 1278, Wen Tianxiang led his army to resist Yuan troops at Chaoyang. When he arrived here to pursuit the young emperor Bing of Song, he failed to see the emperor’s ship . He looked over to the ocean and to the south, swearing his determination to resist Yuan army to his last breath. A popular legend have been passed down named “Man of Loyalty Crashed the Lotus”.
